So far I became really frustrated with the winmail.dat files. Like a previous comment I feel strongly that the functionality should be a standard in mail. Sell it to Apple .. :)

Well done! It’s an excellent application which makes using the Mac possible in a business enviroment with many Microsoft exchange clients

I’m a recent switcher and to be honest I didn’t understand the value of your software until I uninstalled it. I know you describe it’s functionality quite clearly, but I just assumed that Apple must have some way to deal with receiving certain Outlook attachments. In an effort to slim down my system and rid it of unnecessary apps, I uninstalled OMiC and ran a few tests looking at different emails I’d received from Outlook users. I see exactly the behavior described with stray .DAT files. To be honest, the functionality your software offers, I’d taken for granted!! Now if only you could figure a way to get it to adjust outgoing mail so that it doesn’t create fragment files attached to e-mails sent to Windows users!! It seems anytime I send a file, like an image attachment, it also puts a random empty TXT file along with it! This happens regardless of how I format my messages, plain text or rich text. When I was a Windows user I use to hate getting those empty TXT attachments from Mac users and vowed to figure out a way to avoid it if I ever made the switch. Maybe you can provide a solution???

I’ve searched and don’t find anything. Is this because of Leopard instead of Tiger as my OS?
